Very good small hotel, very nice personnel. Close to the historic centre of the town. Parking (small one) is something important in Istanbul.

Cozy little apartment at top floor, with terrace overlooking the Golden Horn. Friendly staff, prompt at helping out. Rather authentic neighbourhood with partial slums and no tourists. Kitchen with fridge, boiler and coffee machine which allow you to fix a little something for the evening or breakfast.
One could think that this area is central when looking at the map. In fact it is not and the sidewalks along the way to the east are sometimes as narrow as 40 cm. If it’s raining this means either going through hell or taking a cab. Unfortunately Google doesn’t provide the street view for Istanbul and the satellite photos don’t show how much of an “express” way (2x 2 lanes) runs in front of the hotel. As the hotel has more or less no insulation this means that you are in for a very noisy stay. This comment applies to the suite we rented, on the top floor ; so you can imagine what it must be like on the ground floor… The place is overheated (radiators against the beds) and one wakes-up every time the door bell goes (that means sometimes in the middle of the night). If you can, book in local currency because the hotel might charge you with a rate of his own if you don’t pay attention. "No" curtains in living room where two are to sleep when in 4 pers. Configuration. Make sure that you get the extra bed if you a are four...

Helpful staff. You are able to get to hagia sophia etc on foot, although it takes some time. Kitchen well equiped
We made reservation for 3, but it was hard to explain that all of us need bedclothes. Specific view from the window. Not every staff member speaks english
